Legal Assistance for Providers

Questioner

Provider A has been my provider (internet & TV) for years. On 10/30/2018 I decided I wanted to switch to provider B and I requested a switch (start date/delivery would be 12/24/2018). On 10/31/2018 provider A called with a counter-offer and I decided to accept it and therefore stay. In that same conversation provider A said they were cancelling the switch. So far so good (I thought). Now on 11/21/2018 I received an update from provider B that the first term would be debited and my package would be delivered a week before delivery. So I rang provider B, who said 'yes the first 14 days' reflection period is over, you are stuck with us' and provider A said 'yes but my colleague shouldn't have said that, you always have to end something like that yourself'.... So provider B 'doesn't want to' and provider A 'can't'. Am I now stuck with 2 providers?!

Lawyer

Doesn't provider A have a recording of the conversation? This can happen in sales, and the employee's commitment must be included. In my opinion, provider A is then also liable for damages (but you must be able to prove it, or at least have provider A accept it).
