I have been sick for three weeks. The work indicates that there is a deductible of two weeks. Because they did not report me sick immediately, the third week was not paid either. Is it possible that the deductible is for the employee instead of the employer? This means that I was only paid for 1 week due to illness. (I am a physiotherapist employed by a private practice and am normally paid per patient).

Normally the deductible is paid by the employer, certainly if you reported sick in time in accordance with company regulations. You are employed but are paid per patient. Your salary is therefore variable. Your employment contract probably states what the consequences are of illness. I therefore advise you to consult this first, if you have not already done so. Thanks for your quick response. The contract states that the employee is entitled to 70% of the gross monthly salary after 2 waiting days. But how is this calculated with a variable salary? And I only work two days a week, are the waiting days the days that you work or just the first two days of illness?p
