Liability for damage caused by your child?

Good day, My ex and I have been divorced for 10 years, the children live with me and for the past six months my son has been living with his father every other week and at home every other week. To what extent am I liable for (financial) damage that occurred during the time my son caused something to his father?

This would concern matters that are not covered by the insurance, such as causing an accident with an uninsured moped registered in my son's name. Or damage caused by illegal fireworks. His father does not supervise or even cooperate with things that are unacceptable (for example, the fireworks even belonged to his father).
