House with 2 house numbers: What to do?
Questioner
We bought a house with 2 house numbers, 1 number for business use and 1 number for living according to the municipality. However, the current owner only used the business number, also for living. We do not plan to start a business but want to keep this possibility for the sake of certainty. In the land registry, both house numbers are known under the same plot. According to vastgoedloep, both house numbers have the destination shop/residential function. The current owner received the BSGW assessment for 1 house number, but the BSGW does state that the house has 2 house numbers. Can we also use the number used by the previous owner only for residential purposes? Will the second house number be retained? Are there any costs involved if we have the municipality withdraw 1 house number?Lawyer
No, I don't think so, because you might be taking housing space off the market by moving a household to number two. That's not how the residential function in the zoning plan is intended. So a merger will have to take place. Ask your municipality about the possibilities.Take the next step
