Good evening, We are going to emigrate to Hungary, come back to the Netherlands for 3 months a year to our house in the Netherlands. The house in the Netherlands will be rented for 9 months, is the intention if it works out. Now we just want to pay the municipal taxes, but we also have to deregister from the municipality. Can we just keep our house and how do we ensure that the municipal taxes are okay? I hope you can help me further Thank you. Elsje BrouwersLawyer
You do indeed need to deregister with the municipality, but you can keep your house. You will also have to continue paying municipal taxes even though you have deregistered. The municipality will process this in their administration. It is possible to provide a correspondence address to the municipality for the assessments to be paid.Take the next step
