Is there anything to do about an ex who has paid alimony on time for 3 of the past 14 months. Again, not before the 1st of the month. I still haven't received anything and it's already April 3rd. This is how it goes almost every month. I have to ask for it every time. After which I usually hear that he is short of money.... But I hear from others and my children that he goes out and buys a lot. My son has never received the full amount on time since he was 18. Since October 2018. Here too he says he is short of money, while my son knows that he spends and buys a lot. This is very frustrating, especially since I only took a very small compensation and ex was allowed to keep his house and hearth including furniture. I started over with second hand and loaned items and he could continue to live as usual. And then to deal with alimony like that.... Please adviseLawyer
That is very annoying, but there is something to do about it. Overdue terms are in default, you can summon your ex to pay via a collection procedure (whether or not via the LBIO). A lawsuit is not necessary, direct seizure is possible or the threat of it.Take the next step
