Questioner

Hello. I have been working for my employer since May 14, 2007. Pensions were always arranged. But as staff we have come to realize that Due to payment arrears with Aegon, my boss has not paid our pension since 2017. Is this allowed? And what are our rights in this? Of course I asked my boss about this and he says that this is not the case. But I just checked mypensioenen.nl and it has indeed been stopped. We have also received written notice from Aegon about this. I'd like to hear it. Kind regards Carla van den Berge

That is not possible just like that. Your boss must meet contractual obligations, including pension accrual. To do so, he must reserve a portion for pensions. If he does not meet this, you can put him in default to do so and compensate any resulting damage. For more information or direct assistance, you can contact me directly and without obligation.
