Parking a car on the sidewalk: what is and isn't allowed?
Questioner
I have my car in front of the garage. However, the car is long and sticks out a bit over the sidewalk. Tires are inside my driveway. Is that punishable? Is it punishable to stand on the sidewalk with your tires or also when your car crosses? I also see people with barriers crossing far over the sidewalk that are not fined. I would like to know what the regulations are on this now. I can't find it online.Lawyer
The point is that you do not cause any inconvenience to third parties. In your case, the protruding part may not hinder others, but if it is a small part, this should not cause any problems. If the tires are on the sidewalk, this will cause more problems than the protruding part. This is often determined in the local APV of your municipality.Take the next step
