Legal Advice for UWV Objection

Questioner

Hello, an acquaintance of mine was declared 37% disabled by the UWV in 2015. In September 2018, she reported to the UWV that her health had deteriorated significantly. This led to a reassessment by the UWV in early February 2019, in which she was found to be 80/100% incapacitated for work. As a result, she is entitled to a WGA benefit of 100%. The UWV will adjust her benefit as of May 1, 2019. I believe this should be September 2018, the date on which she reported the change. Please respond to whether an objection makes sense.

Lawyer

Objection could certainly be useful. Whether that is the case cannot be said with certainty based on your short story. I therefore advise your acquaintance to contact a specialized social security law attorney immediately. He/she is a member of the SSZ. This must be done within the objection period of 6 weeks! Often the first conversation (max. half an hour) is free, such as at my office.
