Legal Assistance for Deception in Land Sales
Questioner
Hello, I bought a piece of building land. I thought it was a great opportunity, because it had been for sale for years. Now I get to see the purchase agreement and it states that there is contaminated soil, about which a report is known. This report was not presented to me. The contamination was not discussed in the preliminary discussion with the real estate agent, nor with the seller himself. I feel misled and wonder whether I can revoke the purchase. Thank you for your response.Lawyer
Then you do not sign or not under the same conditions such as price. Although there is a duty to investigate, the seller has a heavier duty to provide information, certainly if you now receive the information from this party. It tends towards fraud, but is certainly a mistake. Or have you already bought and are you only now seeing this information?Take the next step
