Legal Assistance with Wills and Inheritances
Questioner
Good afternoon, Yesterday I received a letter from the notary, containing my grandmother's and grandfather's wills. My grandmother passed away in 2016 and my grandfather in October 2018. While I am named in my grandmother's will, my grandfather excluded his son (my deceased father) in July 2018. I don't quite understand the letter, and I was wondering what exactly I'm entitled to. Can I still claim my deceased grandmother's inheritance, and could my grandfather simply disinherit my father? Incidentally, my sister and I were only informed of their passing last week.Questioner
