Legal advice for cross-border matters

Questioner

I live in the Netherlands. My ex and daughter live in Germany. In the Netherlands, I'll receive legal aid. In Germany, I don't know if I can get legal aid, but I don't think so. Because of the high costs, I'd like to retain a Dutch lawyer. Is this lawyer authorized to litigate in Germany, or are not all lawyers authorized to do so? Provided they speak the language and understand the German laws, of course. What's the best way to stay?

Questioner

I don't know the situation or the reasons why you think you need a lawyer (family and personal law?). But it's possible that Dutch jurisdiction exists and/or Dutch law is mandatory. You can have this investigated.
