My ex and I separated two years ago. We owned a boat and a caravan. He got the boat, and I got the caravan. The caravan was at the dealership for repairs, but it was declared a total loss due to storm damage. The caravan was also registered in my name, but my ex handled it after consultation and agreed to transfer the agreed-upon money to me. So far, that hasn't happened.
