Working with a Min-Max contract? Discover your rights

Questioner

Good day! In the context of the Balanced Work and Employment Act, my employer has offered me a contract for 6 hours per week. However, since September 1, 2019, I have had a Min-Max contract for an indefinite period for 7 to 10.5 hours. Other than that, I have worked continuously for more than 9 hours per week since January 2018. In my opinion, should I be offered 9 hours per week, or am I misinterpreting the regulations?

Questioner

No, you're right. The offer must be based on the average number of hours worked over the past 12 months.
