Parental Maintenance Obligation: What Are Your Rights?

Questioner

Hello everyone, I have a question. I'm 16 and live in an open group. I have no contact with my parents, so my father refuses to pay me my allowance. The only thing my father pays is child support to my mother and my health insurance. The money I get from my parents (€62.50 per month) isn't enough to buy clothes or travel by public transport. Now my specific question is what falls under the maintenance obligation and what is my father obliged to pay?

Questioner

Ir/Madam, Parents are responsible for the care and upbringing of their children and must pay for their living expenses and education until they turn 21. If parents separate, they must agree on a financial arrangement for this. This is called child support. On what legal grounds were you placed in the open group? Was that based on a decision by the Children's Court? Yours sincerely,
