I had two fences put up with the neighbors in June/July. By a company. One of them turned out to be After careful inspection, it turned out to be crooked, not properly secured to a wall, and there was a lot of space between the posts and the wood. After the summer holidays, I called and emailed, and someone finally came to add an extra post, secure it to the wall, replace the broken concrete post, and replace the split wooden planks. Got the wrong pole, so...didn't take the pole and planks back with me; that could have been done if the right pole was there. calling, emailing, nothing yet. We will email or call when we have a spot available. It was still crooked and had to have someone else come and straighten it. He only managed to straighten the fence on October 29th, but... he was given the wrong planks, so he called at 9 a.m., oh sorry, we'll see when we can do it, you'll hear from him as soon as possible. Called again in the afternoon, yes we have passed it on to planning and they will call you. No, so I called twice on Thursday. Yes, they've passed it on to them. You'll hear something by Friday at the latest. I called Friday around 11:00. Yes, planning is working on it, they'll call you. I haven't heard from them since. WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS????? claim damages? and if so, how much? call again tomorrow? I had to cancel the people for my terrace. Because there are no tiles in the garden. please advise!Questioner
It's better to submit your claim in writing to the seller, stating that they are and have been in default, entitling you to instruct a third party to repair the defect at their expense. Alternatively, you could give them another chance, with a specific deadline for completion, and claim damages incurred as a result of the defects.Take the next step
