How long does it take for a lawyer to respond?

Dear Sir/Madam, On November 26th, I received an email from my ex's lawyer. On December 3rd, I responded to that email with a clear explanation of my position on the case. I hoped this provided them with sufficient information. I didn't specify a timeframe for a response. I would like to ask you, how long should a lawyer take to respond to my comment? I can't find an answer to this question anywhere on the web. I look forward to hearing from you.Questioner
There are no legal deadlines for this. Depending on the type of case and your response, the lawyer will likely, after consulting with their client, either return to you to see if a settlement or solution can be reached together, or initiate legal proceedings in which you, in turn, can defend yourself, possibly with the assistance of your own lawyer.
