How can I maintain my fascia board now that the neighbours' canopy has been placed against it?
Questioner
My neighbours have placed a roof close to our extension. They have also put sealant on the fascia of our extension. They say that the wall of our extension is on their property, so they can do anything on the wall. But I see that I cannot reach the fascia at all. And I am worried that in the event that I have to repair my roof, there is no space for it. When the contractor of the roof said that I can simply place a piece of terspa so that no maintenance is required. At the time of the suggestion we thought that was a fine solution. We did not want to argue. Now they have already ordered a trespa plate. But we think that there should be a space for our fascia in any case, so that we can maintain it. My question is what can we do now.Lawyer
You could consider that your neighbours do not take your rights into account and then at an earlier point also choose the sustainable solution at their expense. (or more reasonably, jointly) Can you also not reach it via your neighbours' land?Take the next step
