Filing a lawsuit - draft summons by email, registered letter or by bailiff?

Questioner

Is a bailiff's writ required to serve a draft summons? That is, to estimate the costs of a case, do I have to charge the bailiff twice (one for the draft summons and one for the actual summons?)

Lawyer

I think the bailiff charges you the costs of drawing up a summons and having it served. That is quite normal. But I don't think I understand your question completely correctly.

Lawyer

You can send a draft summons in any way you like. It is a draft and therefore has no additional legal value, it only serves to show your opponent that you are serious about pursuing the case.
