Gutter/property boundary What legal steps should I take?

I have been living in this house for a year now, my neighbor apparently has trouble with the new situation. I have spoken to him several times about a leaking gutter hanging over the property line. Now the water keeps flowing on my side. This overhanging gutter has probably been there for over 20 years. What legal steps should I take to get the neighbor to replace/repair the gutter and let the water flow to his side.

You can order him to repair the gutter and if he does not do so, you can, after notifying him, have a repair carried out (or have the gutter adjusted in such a way that the water flows back onto his own property) and recover the costs from him.
