Fraud Germany & VOG - Betrug

Dear, I have a rather complicated question. A few years ago I tried to get a loan and was scammed. (Very stupid I know). When I went to Germany last year before the corona crisis, I was stopped during a standard check and was told that I had a lawsuit against me for 'Betrug'. What I understood from it was that I had scammed people via the internet by selling things and then never sending them. Of course I am not the one doing this! I have received a letter about this several times in completely legal German that I did not understand. I have emailed here in my best English but only received the response that I was in the wrong place. Now I need a VOG for my new job and therefore applied for it unsuspectingly. The entire scam is mentioned on this and I still have no idea what, where, and especially how to solve this! Hopefully you can help me?
