Can the campsite owner demand that we empty the mobile home within 6 weeks?

Questioner

This morning we received the message below from the campsite owner: 'We recently had a study carried out by XYZ architects focused on the future of our park. One of the conclusions is that we will not be extending the annual pitches on the campsite. In your case, we would like to propose the following: you come and collect all valuables before 1 May and we will then ensure that the caravan and everything that remains behind is removed. The fee for this place was paid last year, it runs until October. Can the owner just decide that we have to sort this out within 6 weeks? Why not until October when the rental spot expires. Yours sincerely,

Lawyer

No, not if Recron conditions for a fixed location apply. Is there any question of this and is there demonstrable restructuring and is the caravan still worth moving? See the conditions here https://www.hiswarecron.nl/leisure-en-recreatie/voorwaarden-en-overeenkomsten

Questioner

This caravan park is in Belgium, do the Recron conditions also apply there? I can't find out if this campsite is affiliated with them.

Lawyer

No, these should have been discussed with you. I believe Belgian law applies (Recread). You were discussed with the terms and conditions in the rental agreement, weren't you? My gut feeling tells me that it is an unreasonable time frame and that you don't have to leave until the end of the current year.
