Damage to the car owner or passenger?

Questioner

I have a question and hope you can help me. I am the driver of a small Renault twingo, I parked next to a Tesla-> My mother gets into my car and taps the Tesla with her door-> The Tesla captured this on camera-> However, it was a very small tap because there was enough space between the cars, so the damage of 300 euros is not correct in our opinion anyway, but that's besides the point-> Now the Tesla's insurance has called our insurance and I have to fill out a damage form-> I think it should be covered by my mother's liability insurance (which she is fine with by the way) -> Our insurance company continues to insist that this is not possible. So my question is, whose insurance should this damage be reported to and what would you do regarding the overestimated damage?

The damage is compensated by the car insurance, because the car was the instrument with which the damage was caused. The damage that you suffer as a result, the loss of no-claim discount, can be recovered from the passenger's AVP.
