Pergola in the front garden
Questioner
In our front garden of our corner house we built a carport (2.33 high) as a bicycle shed to replace what was there. Unfortunately we did not investigate properly whether this was allowed and it turned out that the old situation did not have a permit. Now the shed meets the requirements of a pergola except for the roof. The walls are. Hedges and further there are 5 poles (the wall is pole 6) now the question, if we remove the roof, is it allowed to leave the pergola? Given that this is garden furniture and does not require a permit?Lawyer
Yes, in principle, but sometimes a municipality sees this as a property boundary and then it is too high again. Protected city and village view it is also not allowed. To be sure, you can look in the zoning plan.Take the next step
