€1500,- damage to holiday home. Can we oblige the landlord to send one or more invoices for the damage?

Questioner

Two months ago we went to a holiday home with a group of 18 people. Officially this was not allowed due to the corona restrictions, but the owner of the holiday chose his income over the corona measures. He has already made a mistake here. When we got home we received an unpleasant message about damage. We had to transfer 1500 Euros immediately. If we did not do this, legal action would follow. The lady who had paid everything from her account and was in direct contact with the landlord was so scared by this that she decided to transfer the money. After all, there was a threat of legal action, and she did not want that. We agree that some damage has been caused, but in our opinion the amount is far too high. We have therefore asked several times for an invoice stating all the damage. We have not received this to date, and the owner does not want to send it either. We are of course prepared to pay for our damage, but we would like to have insight into the damage we have caused. An amount of exactly 1500 euros would be very coincidental to cover all the damage. The question for you now is: What next? Can we oblige the landlord to send one or more invoices for the damage? I look forward to hearing from you.

That is not correct, you are entitled to a specified explanation and invoices. Also take into account normal wear and tear and traces of use and day values. If the landlord does not wish to cooperate, you can contact me. I think I can help you on your way with this.
