Is team consultation mandatory working time during illness?

I am 100% sick and recovering from surgery. Yesterday I cancelled my team meeting. At the end of the day I received an app from my manager stating that work meetings are mandatory working hours and that cancellation is considered a leave request. I work as a nursing assistant at a small home care organization.

You are ill. You do not have to work during illness. If you cannot attend a team meeting during illness, you do not have to take leave. From what I read, your manager does not understand the system/law very well.
