No access to police report

Questioner

Some time ago someone reported it to the police for libel/slander on social media. After a short exchange with the police the matter was resolved, the 2-3 messages were deleted. However, I did make a request for access under the police law. The request was rejected. The reporter should be protected and it was also rejected on the grounds of 'investigation, prosecution, prevention'. However, there is no report, I am not suspected of anything; the case is closed. Does it make sense to continue this by calling in the authority for mediation?

Sounds like a bit of a nonsense thing to coordinate with the police. Remarkable that they do something about it. I'm afraid you won't get any insight into the police file. If there is a prosecution, yes.
