Paving stones outside damaged during kitchen renovation
Questioner
During a renovation of our kitchen, the tiler employed by the kitchen company damaged several paving stones on our terrace with the grinder. Unfortunately, inquiries with the supplier revealed that these paving stones are no longer available new. Repairing only the broken tiles is not possible. To what extent should the kitchen company compensate us; is it sufficient if he only provides financial compensation for the broken tiles or should he come up with another solution (e.g. replace the terrace completely with new similar tiles)?Lawyer
In principle, the kitchen company is liable for the total damage resulting from a demonstrable error by one of their employees. However, an actual damage estimate is awarded taking into account all kinds of aspects, including the question of whether other types of tiles could indeed be used. Or other creative yet presentable possibilities. Also important is the current condition of the terrace and/or whether it was due for replacement. You will have to negotiate with the kitchen company or you will outsource that. Please contact me for this?Take the next step
