Insulting parking enforcement

Questioner

I got a fine of 409 euros for parking in a disabled spot. The ticket had just been issued when I arrived and the parking attendant informed me about it. When I drove away I saw them issuing tickets elsewhere. I suddenly got so angry that I honked and gave them the middle finger. Of course they have my details. Can I now also get a fine/punishment for insulting a civil servant on duty? How can this be proven? I could have waved too?

Lawyer

Dear questioner, Have you received a fine or a penalty notice for parking incorrectly? In the case of the latter, you can file an objection if you wish. See the objection generator on my office's website. The chance that you will still receive a penalty notice or a report for insult or something like that does not seem very big to me, but it is possible. Based on your own findings and observations of the officials, a report can be drawn up. If you deny that you insulted, and two officials would say that this did happen, then the case could go against you. It must be repeated: The chance does not seem very great to me, but keep a close eye on your mail and telephone in the coming period. If you receive a penalty notice or an invitation for an interrogation, consult a criminal law specialist immediately. Good luck with that, lawyer
