Parking on private property of recreation park
Questioner
We have a holiday home on a holiday park, we also own the land. The House Rules state that only 1 car is allowed per holiday home. Parking spaces are now located on the shared land. If we build a parking space on our own property for 2 cars, are we allowed to do that? After all, we are the bosses of our own land. Parking on private property makes the situation along the roads and shared land much safer and more accessible for emergency traffic.Lawyer
No, you are not your own boss on your own land because you are obliged to be a member (VvE or regular association) and to follow the rules. I can imagine that the rule you are now raising protects pedestrians and nuisance in the park itself from too many cars. The regulations will state what the consequences are of non-compliance, but also how an existing regulation can be changed/supplemented after discussion in the general meeting.Take the next step
