Am I entitled to a warranty on a broken TV that is less than 4 years old?
Questioner
My TV broke after 3 years and 9 months. It cost 1500 euros. According to the mechanic I couldn't do anything about it. Manufacturing error. Repair costs 208 euros. According to UNETO-VNI I should still have a guarantee because it should last 6 years without any problems. The store won't accommodate me. What do you think about that or am I not at the right address. Kind regards, PS. I'm deaf so this is difficult.Lawyer
Factory standards are part of the content of the purchase agreement and you can hold the seller to them separately. That is separate from the extended warranty offered by him. I think they overlooked it. If you want some legal help you can contact me directly via my website.Lawyer
You mention a standard, if these are used by or imposed on the manufacturer via an organization, these standards also apply to the seller, if they have been made public, i.e. known to the end consumer, see article 18 https://wetten.overheid.nl/BWBR0005290/2021-05-01Take the next step
