Filing for divorce but my husband doesn't want to
Questioner
I want to divorce but my husband does not accept that and absolutely does not want to cooperate. There are 4 children living at home (2 from me and my ex and 2 from me and my current husband). I just would not know where to start to start the procedure and what the costs will be.Lawyer
If your husband is not prepared to do anything, it is best to approach a lawyer directly. He or she can explain to you what steps to take and what it will cost. If there is still a possibility for consultation, you can both make a video call appointment with me free of charge. The situation will then be discussed with both of you and then you can see what the possibilities and impossibilities are.Lawyer
It does not matter that your husband does not want to cooperate. In the Netherlands, a divorce is also pronounced if only 1 of the parties wants to divorce and the other does not. Before the actual divorce procedure is started, a request can also be submitted to the court for the making of an interim provision. In this request, it can be requested that it be determined that you can continue to live in the house with the children for the time being. A provisional amount of spousal and/or child support can also be requested in the procedure and it can be requested that the residence of all children be determined with you for the time being. In addition, a provisional visitation arrangement can also be established between the gentleman and the children. If desired, you can contact us.Take the next step
