How do I get the tenant out of my house?

I gave notice of termination of the lease, 8 months ago. The tenant must leave the house by August 1st. The house is for my granddaughter who is getting married, the tenant does not agree, says he enjoys rent protection.

If there is a tenancy agreement for an indefinite period, there will indeed often be a question of rent protection (I assume that it concerns residential space). This means that the tenancy agreement can only be terminated via a specific procedure through the intervention of the court. There must be a sufficiently serious (legal) reason for termination. The court will assess this. You can try to conclude a termination agreement with the tenant (advice: get advice from a lawyer about this). In that case, the tenancy agreement is terminated by mutual consent. This must be put in writing. I expect that the tenant will demand something in return for his possible agreement (for example a buyout amount).
