Do I have to pay the invoice without being aware of the costs?

Last week a contractor visited us to see if our renovation could be carried out. We have contacted him by phone and via the app to make an appointment. At the end of his visit (max 30 min) he indicated that he would charge 150 euros for this appointment. We were surprised but did not respond to this at the time. It gave us an unpleasant feeling that he, without having indicated this in advance, was going to charge 150 euros. The next day we immediately indicated that we did not want to continue with him and immediately received the invoice in the app. Now the question, are we obliged to pay this? This is also not stated anywhere on his site. This is also not the procedure with other contractors and if this were a condition, we think he should have reported this before arrival.
