Permanent contract but want to work 1 day less

Dear, I have a permanent contract at a small company with 4 colleagues. I would really like to work 1 day less. Can my legislator refuse this?

The legislator has made it possible for employees working in a company with 10 or more employees to request the employer to work one day less. It does not matter whether there is a permanent or temporary contract. In such a case, the employer must provide good arguments if a rejection follows in such a case. In your situation however, there is a smaller number of employees and in that case it could be the case that your boss cannot practically fill this in to let you go for 1 day.
