Terrace in front of the front door

I live in a street with many pubs and cafes. Due to corona, the terraces are spacious. As a result, the terrace of the cafe next to my house is now in front of my house, which is not normal (outside of corona). My front door is directly adjacent to the sidewalk, because the terrace is there now, I can hardly reach my own front door when the terrace is full. I wonder if you are allowed to just build a terrace in front of someone's front door. The tables and chairs are less than half a meter away.
