How can I work during my holiday in Israel?
Questioner
My girlfriend lives in Israel. Now I want to fly there on a regular basis for vacation and then 'work from home' for my company from the Netherlands during my vacation. So I explicitly do not work for clients and/or projects in Israel. Now my company indicates that I need a work permit and that there is an issue with social security. My question is whether those arguments are correct, does certain legislation apply here and if so, which? Are you allowed to work during your vacation and how many hours per day are then permitted and for how long, so the period, can you work during your vacation, before it no longer falls within the legislation? For example: can you say that you go on vacation for a month or 2 months in a row and then work from home every day? Or is this not allowed or only very limited and for a short period? How can I ensure that I can work at your holiday address, in this case Israel?Lawyer
In fact, you can be seconded abroad for a certain period of work. But your employer must be willing to cooperate. Within Europe, remote working and the rules of social security such as where insured etc. are well regulated (183 plus 1 day rule), but for Israel I do not know. However, I can find out for you.Take the next step
