Possibly hiding money during divorce
Questioner
I officially divorced my ex in July 2020. During my marriage he did all the finances, I didn't even have a bank card, but I trusted him completely. In the 2 years before we divorced he took out several loans for which I blindly signed. The total value of the loans was approximately E 150,000.00! So during the divorce I was assigned a debt of almost 60,000 euros. The agreement only includes account numbers but no balances. He probably kept all the borrowed money and concealed it before the divorce. Is it legally possible to find out where all the borrowed money has gone. We have always lived frugally and had 2 incomes, so it can't be gone? It seems that he has put money aside to finance his new future with his new partner, at my expense. His lifestyle shows that he has no financial problems despite his share of the debt. Bought a car for his friend, several renovations, vacations, etc.Lawyer
You need a lawyer to start such a case, but if you can prove this, the 'punishment' for your ex-husband is high. He can be ordered to pay you the entire sum of money that was withheld.Take the next step
