How do I get my overpaid insurance premium back?

I sold my scooters in 2013. Because I had multiple vehicles and was going through a difficult period in my life, I was unable to cancel my insurance at the time. Now that I am doing better, I requested the details from the RDW and sent them to the insurer. Am I entitled to a refund of the unjustly paid premium? These are now considerable sums.

I'm afraid not because you didn't suspend the scooters either so that the premium obligation would cease. What did you do with the scooters, I assume you didn't scrap them because then there would be an indemnity.
