Can they fire me?

Months ago we had a bbl student in our home care. I trained her for a few days, after that she was allowed to go on route alone. Over the months we often worked on the same days, always the same weekend. So she often helped me with a heavier client, and she asked me for help with things she wasn't allowed to do yet. She had a work supervisor but they rarely worked together because the schedules didn't match. At the end of 2020 (September or something? I don't remember exactly), she had problems with her lungs and ended up on sick leave, in February 2021 I ended up on sick leave, had 3 operations on my hands, but am now back at work. In October I got a message from her, despite her illness, that she could start working on her goals. She did follow online lessons from school at that time. And if I wanted to review a few because I had done this with her. I am an ig'er, but not a work supervisor. I asked her if that was allowed and was then told that this was allowed by school. This was also allowed now, so afterwards because she had been home for a while, but I had to word it well. I haven't checked this anywhere and assumed that this was indeed the case. In total I got 9x a ''go'' form which I filled out, and after that I got 9 more exams (which I got sent from school). This was in October and November. I filled out everything truthfully, many with a g, and some with a v. I judged this over the period that I worked a lot with her, so that was a few months ago. Ever since she was with us, she indicated that everything was going wrong, in terms of planning, schedules, etc. etc. She was placed in a nursing home in December and everything went wrong there too, as she said. In my goodness, I thought I was helping, I sent her practice supervisor a letter with all the things I had heard and that I thought 'at the time' were not fair and not right. 2 weeks ago I had to come to the office> they say that we have committed fraud and that my letter was very inappropriate, to the employer, among others. I was given the opportunity to tell my story and I did this. As for the letter... yeah okay... that may have been the truth after all I had heard, but it was not appropriate and in their eyes not the right tone... I'm afraid they are right about that and I have apologized for that. But as far as goals and exams are concerned, I have filled them in truthfully, and only the things I have done with her, no actions such as catheterization, which I never did with her. Now I got an email today that I am requested to come to the head office next Thursday to ''hear'' the next steps. With someone from HR and the director of HR (and who knows more, I don't know) • According to them, an ig who is not your work supervisor is not allowed to sign off goals • It may not be done retroactively either • Plus we were on sick leave • Had I been sitting in a chair that wasn't mine (which is probably true). The student in this story is sitting at home waiting for the verdict they are going to make and until then she is not allowed to continue with the education, and it is also not certain whether she will be allowed to continue after that. I love my job, never had any problems, but should I worry now? Can they fire me for this? I have a permanent contract.

Dismissal is not possible just like that. In principle, this can only be done via the subdistrict court (in the case of reorganization and long-term illness via the UWV). For dismissal on the spot, there must be a sufficiently serious (urgent) reason and strict rules also apply. I advise you to hear what the employer thinks the next steps should be. If you want to discuss this afterwards, you can contact me without obligation. If, against all expectations, dismissal does occur, you must take action within 2 months (initiate proceedings with the subdistrict court).
