Dismissal/starting as a self-employed hairdresser

Questioner

I currently work in a hair salon, where I have resigned. I will stop there on March 31st and on April 1st I will start as a mobile hairdresser on my own. (Zzp) I do not have a non-compete clause in my contract, it dates back to 2010. My question is whether it is wise and (legally) allowed to advertise my own company in advance. Greetings,

Lawyer

If you do not have a non-competition and/or relationship clause in your contract (or similar provisions), you are in principle allowed to advertise your future company. Please note that even without a non-competition and/or relationship clause, certain actions could be unlawful. (I am just giving an exaggerated example) If you deliberately approach all incoming customers at your current work to take them to your own company, this could be unlawful without having such a clause in your contract. But there should be nothing wrong with making advertising normal in that case. Or answering questions about what you are going to do. You can contact me without obligation via my profile if you have any questions or would like to have your contract checked.
