Nuisance caused by bailiffs

I bought a house in April last year and since then I have been receiving letters from debt collection agencies, pension funds, professional associations and recently also a piece from a bailiff several times a week. These are all addressed to the previous owner or the company that he had registered at this address. I have always returned all letters to the sender, have not opened or thrown anything away. I called the bailiff. They advised me to have the address investigated to prevent a bailiff from ever actually showing up at my doorstep. But my municipality is not going to do that, because they see that only my wife and I are registered at the address. I called the Chamber of Commerce 6 months ago, they see that the company is still registered at my address. They cannot give me any details of the gentleman due to privacy. They went to see if they could get in touch with the gentleman. I called again today and the company is still registered at my address. Am I legally vulnerable because of this, should I and can I take steps? Can I prevent a bailiff from looking at my Lego collection?
