Dutch marriage under French law
Questioner
With my fiancé we are getting married in Amsterdam. We're both French citizens currently living and working in Amsterdam. We would like to have the French law applied to our Dutch marriage. We already have seen a notary in France that has created a marriage contract stating the French law that should apply. Could you please let us know what is the legal procedure in the Netherlands to be able to get married under the French law? Do we need to send you a copy of the French Notary Certificate? Thank you.Lawyer
In the EU marriages candidates can opt and choose the marriage regime of their nationality. This is legal. If there is a conflict the Dutch judge shall use it.Take the next step
