Cancel auto-renew subscription
Questioner
Last year we took out a subscription for the wbtr step-by-step plan with services to update our statutes for the wbtr. This subscription would be automatically extended after one year (1 year) with a notice period of 1 month. Now we have used this subscription for a year and now we wanted to cancel it, but we were too late. Now we know that for consumers after automatic renewal it must be cancellable monthly. How does that work in this case now that we as an association have taken out this subscription? Can we claim that monthly notice period or are we obliged to keep the subscription for another year? Thank you in advance,Lawyer
If there is a membership of an association, the cancellation per month is not possible, the law of Dam does not apply. If there is a normal subscription of a legal entity, then sometimes a condition that it is renewed for another year can be annulled via a reflex arrangement due to a presumably onerous condition. This is only possible under special circumstances with small legal entities or companies.Take the next step
