Car damage claims
Questioner
I bought the car about 2 months ago now. On a Saturday afternoon at the end of the day, so quite dim around 4pm. Picked up the car in the dark on Tuesday evening. I did a test drive on Saturday and the car was fine. Now I took it through the car wash last week for the first time and proudly showed it to acquaintances. The man looks at the car well and says it has a lot of hail damage. What did you pay? I was quite shocked by this, so we took a good look and there are indeed a lot of points in the roof. I didn't notice this myself because I drive it to and from work in the mornings and evenings. So often in the dark. However, not a word about this was discussed when the purchase was made! Now he also said that the car is worth considerably less because of this. I was shocked by this, because I paid quite a lot for it. Traded in my car and still paid quite a bit extra. My question now is, can I go back to the garage to get the story? How do I go about this?Lawyer
You should protest as soon as possible (in writing/registered). You should put the garage in default and summon it to repair the roof within a reasonable period at your own expense. You can indicate that the car does not comply with the agreement and that there is therefore a shortcoming in the fulfillment.Take the next step
