Out of sick leave at new job?
Questioner
I have been on sick leave for a few days due to a conflict with a colleague. I have a new job.. How do I arrange this? Should I then leave the Sickness Benefits Act?Lawyer
If you are no longer ill, you should report yourself better. You will then have to resign from your current job, I assume that you cannot combine both jobs, whereby you must adhere to the correct notice period and the day on which notice can be given. Otherwise you could be liable for damages. You should also pay attention to whether your current employment contract may contain a non-competition or relationship clause. If this is legally valid, you should (have it) checked whether you would be acting in violation of it by accepting the new job. This could also lead to liability for damages.Take the next step
