Takeover of catering business contract
Questioner
When buying a catering establishment, the intention is to take over the contract from the previous owner. Can changes be made to it? Or in the form of an addendum? The building will be demolished sometime in the next 10 years and they want a clause to be signed stating that the buyer is aware of this. Is that allowed? And above all, can there be consequences? For example, not buying out because you have to be informed? What is and is not allowed when taking over a catering establishment contractLawyer
If a (potential) buyer wants to take over a company, agreement must be reached on the takeover conditions (the purchase contract). If the intention is to take over current contracts, for example with (sub)suppliers, during the purchase, this is only possible if the buyer (also) agrees to this. If changes are made to such contracts and the buyer does not agree to them, no agreement will be reached in this respect. It is advisable to seek advice from a specialist before signing a purchase contract for the takeover of a company. There is a lot involved in such a takeover, also from a legal perspective (think of due diligence!).Neem de volgende stap
