Should initials in employment contract be the same as passport?

Questioner

I have received an employment contract in which the 'D' of my call sign is used as the initial. Is this legally valid or should the initials as stated in my passport be stated in the agreement?

Lawyer

Legally, that is not necessary. An employment contract is in fact evidence of the employment relationship that has been entered into. If there can be no misunderstanding that you signed it, it is not invalid or anything like that.
