Do I have the right to cancel the purchase agreement?

Questioner

I have purchased an electric bicycle since December 5th for health reasons. This was a bicycle that was a show model and I purchased it through my work's bicycle plan. The bicycle is now almost 7 months old and because it is a show model, there is only a one-year warranty on it and it has already broken down for the 4th time. The battery was already broken the first week. Then in February the bearings of the engine broke down and last month the on/off button broke down. But then I had to wait 3 weeks for a mechanic and I had to pay an amount of €29.95 mechanic costs, while the bicycle was still under warranty. And now less than a week later my luggage carrier is broken. Now I would like to know what rights I have, because I want my money back or a new bicycle. This bicycle can no longer be trusted, because I think that for such a large amount I should also get a good bicycle.

You must notify the seller of the default as soon as possible and grant him a reasonable period to remedy the defects. Preferably by registered mail. If the defects are not remedied within that reasonable period, you will probably be able to cancel the purchase. What has been performed/paid by both parties must then be returned. You must take into account that the seller may be entitled to deduct a reasonable usage fee from the purchase price.
