Can a gas station confiscate your passport if you don't pay?
Questioner
A client of mine did not pay at a gas station, he had forgotten his wallet. When he discovered this, he had already filled up. The gas station confiscated his passport and does not want to give it back until the entire claim has been paid to the collection agency. My question is, is this legally allowed, or can my client demand that his passport be returned?Lawyer
No, that is not allowed.Take the next step
